4/16/10 - Our biggest show ever! No lie. Tuesday, April 27, Daemon Familiar takes the stage at one of Chicago's finest musical venues, Double Door. We waited months to get this show, and we promise some over-the-top rockin' entertainment. And did we mention that it's a FREE show?!? So, if you've never seen us play live - come on out! If you only want to go to one show all year - come on out! And if you can't get enough of us - heck, come on out! We need a huge turnout at this event, so we could use your support now more than ever!

4/9/10 - We're on the Air! Hey, everyone - In advance of our big April 27 show at the Double Door, we'll be appearing live this coming Monday (April 12) at 1pm on Vocalo - streaming at vocalo.org, or on 89.5 FM in Chesterton, Indiana. We'll be discussing our first album, Dawn of the Albatross, and performing acoustic versions of a few tunes. Be sure to check us out if you're looking for something cool to do at lunchtime!

3/7/10 - Googly Moogly We're Playing Lots of Shows Lately! That's right DF fans, we've got two more shows looming. The big one is on April 27 at the Double Door, our most important show yet. If you only see one DF gig all year, this has to be it! But before that, join us for a fun night at Phyllis' Musical Inn on March 27. Our good friends The Moses Gun and Eskrima Killed Magellan feature in both shows, with Percolator joining us as well at the Double Door. It's the year of the Daemon, so come on out!

1/16/10 - A Bunch of Shows to Warm You Up This Winter! Hot off the heels of our two Sloan covers at the Old Town School's O Canada! tribute, we've got three exciting shows coming up for you. First, on January 21, join us at one of the hippest venues in the city, Darkroom, for a rollicking show. Then, two shows in February - Ronny's on the 18th, The Rockbox on the 27th. Come out and shake off the cold with some sizzling power pop!

10/9/09 - Two Shiny New Gigs Coming Up! Don't know if you've checked our gig calendar, but we've got two rockin' shows coming up over the next few weeks. First, on October 17, a Saturday gig at The Rockbox (formerly The Rockhouse) in Lincoln Park. Then, for all of you looking for a way to bust loose on a Sunday night in support of a good cause, we're part of the Brainstorm Comics Benefit at the Beat Kitchen on November 8. Hope to see you there!

7/31/09 - Old Town Show Fast Approaching! Hey, everyone. Just a reminder that next Friday (August 7) is our big Old Town School of Folk Music show. We will be headlining their First Friday event, so you can catch some of the hardworking Old Town ensemble classes, too (how Wendi and Pablo first met, by the way). But more importantly, this is the last chance (for only a while we hope) of seeing us play with our beloved bassist, Brian Ruhe. (Insert "aaaaaaaawwwww" here.) Our talented four-stringer is all grown up and has a doctorate now. Soon he'll be jetting his way to the west coast for at least 6 months of new adventures and beach hijinks! Also, we've worked up some new songs we're excited to play for you, as well as all the favorites from our hit debut, Dawn of the Albatross. In case you don't have it yet, still available on iTunes, CDBaby, and for purchase at the show. If you have had the privilege of enjoying our album, please let others know- we have profiles set up on www.discogs.com and www.rateyourmusic.com, so spread the word and say something nice about us. We're always saying nice things about you - you should hear some of the niceness we spread behind your back!

(And for those of you who weren't able to come out, we have several shows already booked!! Check them out in the shows section.) The energy from the crowd was great and really helped the show!! We appreciate it. There were dancing (and falling) girls, we had cake (provided by Brian's lady friend, Becky), and some new faces in the crowd. All in all a great night. We also want to send a special thanks out to The Vindits for opening up for us!! They were great and you should check them out if you get a chance!! We hope to play another show with them in the future!! AND ONE LAST THING - Now that the CD is officially released, the free download is ended. However, you can purchase the CD at CDBaby.
